Solving Issues With The Pool Heater
Professional pool repair companies in Suffolk County like Empire Pools, are familiar with pool heater issues and will often diagnose the issue rather quickly. If a pool heater fails to ignite, it could be a clogged filter or a closed filter valve. If there is low flow of water, a heater will not turn on without the right amount of pressure. In this situation, a professional technician will check the pool filter and pump basket to help the swimming pool water circulate properly. If a pool heater has cycling issues, the pool heater will turn on and off. The power supply is usually the cause and this is considered a more serious issue that must be handled by professionals. If a pool heater ignites but will not heat the pool water, it may be a defective temperature sensor. If you are hearing a loud, banging sound, the cause may be a few issues like a blockage, faulty pressure switch, or equipment parts are loose.
For any of these pool heater issues, you are urged not to try to fix it yourself. Instead, find a qualified pool repair expert in Northport, NY.
Pool Heater Power Must Match Pool Size
A swimming pool heater must be a powerful enough unit to adequately heat up the pool water. Oftentimes, a pool owner will realize too late that the pool heater installed will not generate the BTU’s required for that big of a swimming pool. With that being said, if a pool owner thinks that their pool heater is malfunctioning, there is the possibility that the unit is just not powerful enough to get the job done. A pool service professional can inspect the pool to determine if the heater is providing enough heat or if the existing old heater is just not operating efficiently. The pool owner will be advised whether a repair or replacement is needed.
Routine Pool Maintenance Can Help Reduce Future Pool Repairs
When it comes to pool equipment including your pool heater, routine maintenance can easily help keep your pool system running at maximum efficiency. That way, if a potential problem is noticed, a small problem can be repaired before it becomes a big problem. This also supports the consideration to hire a professional pool service like Empire Pools, to perform weekly pool cleaning to keep your pool looking beautiful and the water as safe and healthy as possible. Regular swimming pool maintenance should include skimming the pool surface, brushing pool walls, vacuuming pool floor, emptying skimmer basket, cleaning pool filter, testing water chemistry, balancing chemicals, maintaining a proper pH level and running the pool pump daily.

After Dutch interest a few years earlier, the land was sold by Chief Asharoken, head of the Matinecocks, to three Englishmen in 1656.

(The nearby hamlet of was known as Little Cow Harbour.) The oldest house still standing in Northport, the Skidmore House on Main Street, was built in 1761. In 2009 the house was put up for sale, sparking the village to pass a historical preservation law.

In the early 19th century Great Cow Harbor was still a rural farming community. By the 1830s the village contained only eight dwellings. But a new industry of shipbuilding brought rapid change and growth. The village shifted away from its farming roots as shipbuilding became the community’s primary industry. By 1837 the village was being referred to as Northport.
