A Pool Service Takes on Your Cleaning Chore So The Pool is Always Ready

If you love to swim but dislike cleaning your swimming pool, it’s a worthwhile investment to hire a pool service in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY. It’s simple math. The more time you spend cleaning the less time you spend frolicking in the swimming pool. The more time you skip between pool cleaning regimes, the less time you and your family can use the pool because the water is unsafe for swimming. Hiring a Suffolk County pool cleaning service ensures that the weekly cleaning chore gets done regularly so the water will always be ready and waiting for swimmers to enjoy.

The Empire Pools team has been serving your neighborhood since 1993. That’s over twenty three years providing top notch pool service. They can help you.

A Pool Service Uses Industry Leading Equipment to Clean Your Pool

Most pool services offer a variety of weekly and monthly service packages to meet your pool needs and your budget. If your family enjoys swimming daily, a weekly service plan would be an ideal choice. A local pool service in Suffolk County like Empire Pools will assign you a regular day and time to visit your home and service your pool each week. A clean pool helps the pool equipment run efficiently thereby increasing its longevity.

Weekly pool cleaning packages typically include skimming leaves off the pool water surface, brushing walls, steps, and sides, cleaning filters, removing debris from the skimmer, and vacuuming.

A Pool Service Tests Water Chemistry to Achieve the Right Chemical Balance

Every pool owner knows that the only way to maintain clear, safe and clean water is to be sure the pool water has a proper balance of chemicals. Without a proper chemical balance, the pool water is taken over by unhealthy bacteria and algae. Adding the wrong type of pool chemicals or using an incorrect amount of chemicals can burn eyes and be harmful to skin. A professional pool service accurately tests the water chemistry and applies the right pool chemicals to balance Ph as required. A highly trained and qualified Empire Pools technician always knows exactly how much chlorine to add to the pool water.

A Pool Service Performs Visual Inspection of Pool Equipment

No matter how long you stare at the pool equipment, it is difficult for a pool owner in Suffolk County to know if the humming, swishing and other sounds are coming from an efficiently working pool system. A pool service can perform visual inspection of all pumps, vacuums and other pool equipment at your weekly service visit. A professional will notice the early signs of equipment or water issues that could grow into a future costly repair. If equipment needs replacing, the team can provide advice on the necessary fix and schedule a repair appointment.

Some information about Lake Ronkonkoma, NY

Lake Ronkonkoma is a census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 20,155 at the 2010 census.

The actual lake, Lake Ronkonkoma, adjacent to the CDP, is the largest lake on Long Island. The land surrounding one side of the lake is in the jurisdiction of Islip. The elevation of the lake surface is given as 55 feet (17 m) on the most recent USGS map, but as the lake is a ‘groundwater lake’, not fed by streams, it has no surface outlet and its water surface reflects the current level of the local water table. This can undergo significant changes over time, and the lake level experiences slow periods of rise and fall. In the late 1960s it was quite low; after several intermediate changes in level, in 2007 the lake was higher than at any time since, with a difference of well over 5 feet (1.5 m) between the 1960s low and the 2007 high.

As a result of the lake’s existence, Lake Ronkonkoma was once a resort town, until the area experienced a population explosion in the mid-20th century. Remnants of old resorts and hotels can still be seen around the lake’s shores. Many summer cottages and bungalows from that period remain, now converted to year-round use.

The lake is the subject of a number of urban legends, mainly rooted in the area’s rich Native American heritage. For example: 1. ‘It’s bottomless’ (and/or empties into Long Island Sound or other waterways). In fact, the lake is relatively deep (approx. 65 feet (20 m)) at its southeastern side, and is what’s known as a kettle hole lake. 2. ‘Every year the lake sacrifices someone.’ Or more specifically, Princess Ronkonkoma ‘The Lady of the Lake’ calls young men out to the middle of the lake and drowns them. In all versions, the lady is an Indian princess who herself drowned in the lake, for reasons that vary depending on the story. The most popular version is that every year the lake claims one male victim. Articles suggest that in the past 200 years, only a handful of females have drowned in Lake Ronkonkoma. 3. ‘There is a mysterious rise and fall of the lake that doesn’t have any noticeable relationship to local rainfall totals.’ This has not been sufficiently explained either way.
